Hi Everyone,

Since my title is long and it takes up two lines I have to keep double space between the title and subsequently  "by" and my name. But when I use \doublespace command then the space between title, "by" and "Ujjwal Gupta" becomes 4 times as shown in the attached images.

Any suggestions on how to solve this? This can also be added to the style file.

Sincere thanks to John for making this template, I saved ton of time while writing my thesis.

Regards,
Ujjwal

I figured out one way to do it. Basically manually add \\ \ \\ whereever you want to break the title. I added it just before the word "using" in my title. Now the whole thing looks like this:

But if there is a more elegant solution, that would be good.

Hi Ujjwal! Nice to see a familiar name/face on the asudis forum. Glad to hear that these style files are helping you.

I just added an "\exactdoublespace" formatting that will exactly double the single-space line spacing to satisfy formatting requirements. I put the TITLE-BY-AUTHOR parts in this exact double space environment so that old, single-lined titles work the same as they always did, while your longer title should also look correct without the extra \ \\ junk to fake a double spacing. You can download the new asudis.sty and try it out. The single \\ line break will let you choose where to break your title. -John

Thanks John! I tried the new asudis.sty and it works like a charm. - Ujjwal
