Final Exam Discussion and Recommended Practice for Preparation

Hi,

With the final exam quickly approaching, I was curious on what resources or recommendations we could get to help us better understand how to prepare for the final exam. My preparation for the midterm consisted of reading through all the covered chapters, doing practice problems, and the sample exam as well, but none were helpful enough for the exam and I had a few difficulties with some problems. Are there any more practical resources to get a more hands-on preparation for the final. Also can we expect any sample practice problems to help prepare for the upcoming exam? Thanks!

Hi Rohan,
I apologize for such a late response and I hope you got an answer already, however if you haven't I would review Dr. Dasgupta's notes and look for key concepts he covered like paging, the bankers algorithm as well as reviewing your previous exam since the final is comprehensive. Once you identify any areas you think you may need more practice on try the exercises in the book and if you run into problems with it you have identified the area you need to study. I will be in office hours until 2PM and then after that you can reach me by email with any questions. At this point I assume you've seen the practice hw questions posted by Dr. Dasgupta, however if you have not they are available on his website.
