Hi all,

The feature freeze for v7.2.0 of the core package will be on 31 October 2025.

There are currently 96 open pull requests milestoned for v7.2.0, so please try and wrap up any open pull requests if possible, or re-milestone to v8.0.0 if you are pretty sure you won't manage to wrap up a pull request in time.

Thanks!
Tom

Hi everyone,

The v7.2.x branch for the core package has now been created. PRs with bug fixes have been re-milestoned to 7.2.0, and other PRs have been re-milestoned to 8.0.0. If there are PRs which I re-milestoned to 8.0.0 which you would like to have included in 7.2.0 and which are not new features (e.g. code cleanup, documentation improvements, performance improvements) please ping me and I'll try and make a call as to whether we can include it in 7.2.0.

Now is also a good time to add anything to the what's new which you want to advertise.

I plan to build and release the first release candidate at the end of the week.

Cheers,
Tom
