To whom it may concern,
Zach Burnett and I spoke to Addo Davies Jr from NumFOCUS about possibly collaborating with them to revive Astropy's broken nightly benchmarks. They are looking into using AWS EC2 dedicated instances to do such a thing for (some) NumFOCUS projects. However, each project would have to pay for the EC2 themselves. A very, very rough estimate is "$100-$300 a month" though I would not waste time debating about the cost at this stage.
Next step: NumFOCUS would send us demo and report back from a proof-of-concept attempt (possibly using our benchmarks). I will relay the info as they become available. ETA unknown.
