OSSci(Open Source Science) Prague Meetup: Call for Speakers

Hi everyone,

This is a call for anyone interested in talking about Astropy at OSSci Prague Meetup in May, 2024.The OSSci folks would be interested in knowing more about Astropy, how it's maintained, developed, governed, financed etc.

Anybody in Prague, central Europe, or close enough and interested would be ideal. Some funding for travel and accommodation might be available.

Submission details

• Short abstracts should capture the essence of your proposed talk, highlighting its relevance to open-source science.
• Include a short bio demonstrating your experience in academia and/or open-source projects.
• Travel and accommodation reimbursement is possible. Please indicate whether you need financial aid in your application.

Deadline for Submissions: April 30, 2024.

Anyone interested can reply here with questions and to let us know when they submit an abstract, slides on similar talks in the past are also available to help with preparation.
