I have been using astroML two point angular correlation(tpac) feature to compute it for my radio catalogs which have data as a N x 2 array,(2 columns), and N is of order of ~ 3-4.
I have done it for many catalogs now and the results from astroML are not 'in sync' with what one gets by using other tested and verified algorithms which generally take longer time but are quite reliable.
The astroML result for tpac using method 'landay-szalay' is HIGHER than existing results for the same catalogs. Do share if any explanations for this..
Also, in the same direction do shed some light on why the formula used for the landay-szalay estimator involves an additional 'factor' variable..because this might be the reason for higher results.
