Hi,

I usually don't bother to login just upload as a guest but I really should login and develop a local API on my machine.

Is it my imagination or has there been a change to the API? Do I not recall that successful calibration of an image superimposed on the image a mapping list of stars identified by calibration. It appears this information is no longer available. In the sidebar there is output and superimposed on the image location and other identification information such as location, orientation of the image, etc.

I've uploaded an image and it was successfully calibrated and given the above information. However, there appears to be a small DSO galaxy I'm having trouble trying to identify that would be solved if further identification information were output and superimposed on the image as part of the solve.

There  are fits files also output with further information but my fits rendition software refuses to open them.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Colm

Hi,

If you want to send a link to the submission, I can take a look.

The "annotations" plot should label NGC/IC galaxies and HD and Tycho-2 stars, depending on the image scale (trying to label everything in wide-field images makes things very cluttered).

You could also try going to legacysurvey.org/viewer , jumping to your RA,Dec, and turning on the 'NGC/IC galaxies' overlay layer.

cheers,
--dustin
