amateur parallax detection

Hi, I'm new to Astrometry.net, and I would like to detect parallax with amateur equipment. I have an 8-inch catadioptric. I think the stars' centroid detection of plate solving software would provide enough resolution for the parallax of the closest stars. Do you know how could I use the resources of the site for that? If the site isn't suited for that at all, what else do you suggest?
