Minimum/Recomended System Requirements

Hello!

What are the minimum and/or recommended system requirements for the self built version? 

Apologies if this has been asked somewhere already, I could not find any info on it.

Hi,

The main performance concern would be having enough memory to hold the index files you want to use.  That depends on the kinds of images you are processing.  For the "4100-series", usually fine for images wider than 1 degree, that's only 340 MB.  For the web version, where we use the large Gaia catalogs, it's a total of 34 GB.

Other than that -- the code requires POSIX, ie, a Linux-like operating system.  Windows Subsystem for Linux works, as does MacOS.
