Hi Dustin!

Is it possible to completely skip python during the build of astrometry.net ?

Means to have all the basic solving stuff and also plotting stuff but without any python dependency?

Hi,

Yes, the intent is that all the python code is optional.  The makefile probably tries to build it before installing, but with "make -k" so it continues if it fails.

Then at run time, you need to add flags

    solve-field --uniformize 0 --no-remove-lines ...
