Hoi,
I'm quite new here,
had a few images solved by the tool,
Is there a reason why the SDSS image is mirrored ?
I tested with 2 inputs of non-mirrored images ( M51 and Leo triplet) , plate solving was OK, SDSS picture was mirrored.
SDSS pictures on the SDSS website are non-mirrored, e.g. https://www.sdss.org/science/m51/

kind regards,
Ivo

Please send an example link, otherwise it's hard to guess what you're talking about.

example see

Submission 3548942 / Job 4256193 - results page was http://nova.astrometry.net/user_images/3690703#original

in the uploaded image the spiral of M51 goes clockwise from galaxy nucleus to exterior space.
In the results page, when I hover with the computer mouse over the big picture I can select the SDSS image: on that image, the spiral goes anti-clockwise.
In Stellarium, the spiral goes clockwise, as in the picture that I submitted.

Thank you!  You're right -- this is an issue with FITS vs JPEG display that just won't go away :)  I think you'll find that the images differ by a vertical flip, related to the fact that the FITS standard does not have a display convention.

I've added an issue to track this.

cheers,
