Dear Colleagues,

I'm writing to ask you to consider recommending the program described in
the attached flier to first- and second-year students who are interested in
exploring observational astrophysics. Most appropriate for students with at
least a year of college physics with lab, the CUREA program at Mount Wilson
Observatory is a two-week, tuition-based program in which students learn to
make photometric and spectroscopic measurements with modern and historic
Mount Wilson telescopes. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until
all open spaces are filled. More information is available at curea.org.

Thanks for your help in bringing this opportunity to the attention of
potential participants.

Paula C. Turner
Professor of Physics
Kenyon College
