It IS necessary to have a visitors badge (name badge) in order to gain access to the
auditorium, which is inside a Microsoft office building.
It is
NOT necessary to register in advance, however the benefit of pre-registration
is that a printed badge will be available for pick-up in the lobby, and can then be
used again for all future talks.
