See below request to support a high school student based in Eastchester, NY, just outside the Bronx.
I hate to bother you but was wondering if you have connections to anyone involved in research using the Heasarc database. This could be a grad student, retired researcher, even talented undergraduates with experience.
I have a high school student that I am preparing to doing modeling of Thirring-Lense precession for x-ray binaries and am wondering if you know anyone in the field that works on something like that (using the Heasarc database) and
also would like to help and inspire a young scientist. The Student (Jessia) will not need a lot of time, she just wants someone to meet via email maybe once a month for advice on navigating the database, literature and finding interesting problems a newcomer
to the field can do.
I know you are very busy, so if you know anyone that fits that description that is great.
Thank you in advance either way!
Ken Miller
