Join us in Pupin Hall at Columbia on Friday September 26 at 7pm in Pupin 301 by postdoc Dr. Nick Luber on radio astronomy. (Poster attached)
Title: What If Our Eyes Saw Radio Waves
Abstract: “Let's take a journey through the night sky, beginning with the wonders we can see with our own eyes. From there, let's dive into the invisible universe of radio waves, exploring the astrophysical processes that produce them, and along the way, ask ourselves: what if our eyes saw radio waves?”
We'll start the evening at 7pm with some astronomy trivia, followed by Nick’s talk and Q&A. From 8:10-9:10pm, we will be outside observing on campus (weather permitting).
If you do not have a CUID or would like to bring someone who doesn’t have one, please follow the instructions and register here by September 24 midnight.
