I've been inundated with problems since installing astrid on my
samsung gio. I've searched everywhere I can think of with no answers.
they all relate to each other and i will list them. Sorry to anyone if
my manners offend. I like this app and want to to be my best buddy on
my ph.

I had three widgets when I installed the app, I've deleted one to see
If I can create another - how do you create a widget of a list?
I get double ups of lists and tasks not necessarily in the same list.
Tasks disappear from lists for no reason and I can't find them,
although some have been found on the active task list.
I can't delete a list. (no space after the list title) It seems like a
hit and miss affair, sometimes a list will delete but now with a
particular list with nothing in it it just wont delete ( long press
list, press delete).
some list icons are colourful astrid figures others are plain B&W box
with scribble.
Some lists say I created them but most don't even though I created
them all.
I don't have sync turned on but everytime I use astrid my internet
indicator arrows, upload download start blinking as if using the net.
I've used support and when answered could only read the reply for
about ten seconds, I can't find the reply anywhere.
I upgraded to the power pack to see if things would change, I still
couldn't find where the widgets were, and still have the same
problems.

please help

After Astrid was installed successfully, the Astrid-widget should appear in the widget-list if you long-press some free space on your homescreen and select widgets-category.

Which Astrid-version are you using?

I get double ups of lists and tasks not necessarily in the same list.
Tasks disappear from lists for no reason and I can't find them,
although some have been found on the active task list.

Can you give me steps to reproduce this?

I can't delete a list. (no space after the list title) It seems like a
hit and miss affair, sometimes a list will delete but now with a
particular list with nothing in it it just wont delete ( long press
list, press delete).

You might check out alogcat and capture a logcat-excerpt while doing this and send us the logcat-excerpt to sup...@astrid.com

some list icons are colourful astrid figures others are plain B&W box
with scribble.

Can you send a screenshot illustrating this or give a more detailed explanation where to look?
A camshot might suffice, given that its not easy to make a screenshot in pre-Icecream-Sandwich Android.

Some lists say I created them but most don't even though I created
them all.

Are there any specifics about those lists?

I don't have sync turned on but everytime I use astrid my internet
indicator arrows, upload download start blinking as if using the net.

Astrid sends anonymous usage statistics to us to enable us to improve user-experience and focus on the important aspects of the app.
You can disable this in the settings.

What do you mean? Do you mean the in-app support? What happens after ten seconds?

I upgraded to the power pack to see if things would change, I still
couldn't find where the widgets were, and still have the same
problems.

It might help if you backup your tasks in Astrids' backup-settings, deinstall Astrid and the powerpack and then subsequently install Astrid, install the powerpack and re-import your tasks (in this exact order).

Hoping this helps,

Arne Jans
