Seeking: Simulation and modeling leader for a Novel AI-accelerating Server

Hi Folks,

Tushar suggested I reach out to you on this list about a job opportunity at Sygaldry.  Sygaldry is a venture-funded startup founded by Chad Rigetti (Rigetti Computing), that uses a new type of quantum processor inside a hybrid classical-quantum server to accelerate mission-critical training and inference algorithms.  We are targeting the hyperscalers and frontier labs with a server that will be integrated with pods of GPUs and/or XPUs in the AI datacenter. The company was founded in late 2024, part of the Y Combinator Spring 2025 batch.

We are seeking a full-time developer/leader to lead the simulation and modeling of this server together will the GPU/XPU pod, targeting 500-2000 GPUs/XPUs in the pod and >100x performance improvement on selected algorithms when our server is connected.  We expect that the performance improvement will grow as the models become larger.  We will use ASTRA-sim and Chakra as the framework for simulating this distributed architecture comprised of the GPU pod, the classical portion of our server and the quantum portion of our server.

As we are just getting started with ASTRA-sim, this person will be empowered to lead the effort, set everying up from scratch, define the simulation, modeling and emulation roadmap for the company, and to interface with a variety of internal teams and external partners with whom we are planning to collaborate.  We have some existing estimation tools that will need integration into the ASTRA-sim framework.

The role can be based at the company HQ in Ann Arbor or in our San Francisco office.

Any interest or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.  Your working knowledge of ASTRA-sim and Chakra is very valuable to us, and we can be flexible in exploring different ways to work together.
