Dear Sir,

I hope this message finds you well.

Over the past few days, I’ve been exploring Astra-sim and its capabilities, as I believe it could be valuable for my research. However, despite spending considerable time setting it up on my machine to familiarize myself with its functionality, I’ve encountered some issues related to the Chakra repository.

Specifically, when attempting to execute examples from the Wiki, such as chakra.et_converter, the module is not recognized, even though it appears to have been installed successfully (screenshot attached).

I wonder if there might be something I’m overlooking in the setup or configuration process.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Mohammad

Hi Mohammad,

Thanks so much for reaching out to the mailing list. First, note that the wiki is currently under maintenance to catch up with the latest updated codebase, so our sincere apologies if any of the examples don't work.

Probably the Chakra submodule hasn't been installed yet. You may try: "cd extern/graph_frontend/chakra" and then "pip install ." This should install the Chakra command to the machine, then the environment may start recognizing the Chakra submodule.

Thanks,
Will
