I'm reminded of the Navy Seals grueling 5 day torture test as this
week begins. Just about all the lines are in, and I can finally cut
things up. If you downloaded the latest Astral Audio Extra, then you
know what everyone else does. Now, I will be working like mad and
climbing up the walls to get episode 6 put together before cable goes
caput on the 29th. We hope to be moved into the new digs around the
1st of October, but we don't know when we will bring cable online.
(Other utilities take precedent; electricity, water, etc.) I assume it
won't be long, but I haven't gotten a timetable of the "when". So
while I'd love to get the current episode out before I go dark, it is
a tentative release date. If it looks like I can't make the self
imposed deadline, I'll zip everything up and give all files to
whomever would be willing to pinch hit for me. (Me use a baseball
term, and I'm not a huge fan of baseball; go figure.) This would mean
I'd have to give the ftp info, whip up an account on the site so a
post could be made etc which isn't a problem. Am more concerned about
giving the listeners what they want and to show off the great work you
guys have pulled off. Sure, personal issues come first, but I've been
pushing this episode since ... July.
In other news, We have Paul Fischer joining us which I'm real excited
about. He's taken to the Servant 1 role, and I'm glad to have another
brilliant podcaster as a part of the motley crue. And it looks like
Dan Sawyer is also plunging into the murky depths of madness. (Yet
another wordsmith; scary all the brain power we have.) And we can't
forget Jace Edwards joining our lot. He's a local favorite of several
cities and brings good advertising sense, enthusiasm, and creative
talent to the table. I link to his website in the latest episode's
show notes.
Finally, I just started
http://wiki.astralaudio.net which will serve
as a information center for listeners and visitors to the site. The
about and cast pages will reflect the major points. The wiki is where
we can expand things. Have pages on cast members highlighting the
various activities you all do. Pages made for specific characters who
are central to the overall plot. Sections on the recurring artists,
topics we reference; you name it. (Yes, yet another idea I've borrowed
from the FDO™.) As you can tell, it is quite unedited since I just
installed it this morning. Feel free to jump start it if you want.
