With the Fall Season fast approaching, change is in the air. So grab a
cup of coffee since you'll probably need one.
The thorn that just won't go away: Astral Audio Experience ep 6.
The short answer is that I've been swamped with job hunting/training/
new ideas to get it done properly. If anyone wants to pitch in with
mixing lines and such, let me know. This will be the last of the late
episodes ... and indeed the last of this type of format. The original
plan was to have an overall story arc, throw in current events for our
characters to contend with, and develop our story in this way. I have
decided to change things up ... throw out the radio dj gig since many
listeners might find it hard to believe that a radio dj has time for
other ventures. Sure, I like giving the listeners music, and that can
be continued in the Astral Audio Extra and Albums series. But as it
stands, "Astral Audio Experience" will be revamped into "Astral Audio
Anthologies." I don't see many character changes. We can still have an
overall arc, but give our heroes more of a purpose ... fighting
paranormal oddities and such; all somehow caused by the Overlord's
intervention. To spice things up, I will be getting ideas from all of
you; the more collaborative the creative process is, the better
results we can achieve. This will mean group chats. (Skype preferred
if possible.) Throw out the best day and we can make it a weekly
event. We can also generally get to know one another better. (All work
and no play is a dull thing.)
Site Updates: A new community for listeners and Astral Audio
Productions personnel is now up.
http://experience.astralaudio.net if
you'd like to join. Also, I am aware of the odd tags, categories, and
stealthily hidden content in many of the Astral Audio posts. (website
hacks are a pain. And it is taking time to clean all of our stuff up.)
If you'd like to help out, let me know and I can set up an account
with admin privileges. Starting Monday, I will be presenting readers
with a quote or motivational video and then providing commentary; a
call to action for the week. If you have any suggestions, fire away.
Other Projects: I have started work on a short story involving a
lighthouse. Details are sketchy but there is an elderly former ship
captain involved. (Somehow linked with Magnus and Crew? Maybe.) Also,
work is starting on a Night of the Living Dead adaptation. The
screenplay and film are being used. We will be updating the script to
match the current time period; from technology, government agencies,
methods of communication etc. Five weeks to get the script written and
begin to hold auditions. Four weeks to get "War of the Worlds" style
promos made and distributed to podcasts. Work on the first part to
take place on Halloween if we can swing it. And finally, another
series of sorts is in the works; early planning stages but it involves
a brain surgeon, voodoo, her husband, and more yet to be determined --
a mix of comedy, romance, and horror ... somewhat serious but also a
parody of the entire Zombie genre.
Final Thoughts: Suggestions and comments can either go in this thread
or be emailed to me directly. The only way listeners can get the
entertainment they desire is if we jump in. If you know anyone looking
for acting, writing, production, or publicity assignments, send them
our way. We could use all the help we can get.
