Great! I found you guys here as well :-)

I've just signed up with Astraea Press as well and I'm really really happy. I had read Rebekah's "investigator" story and Kay's "Heartsight" -- I LOOOVED both stories and am sooooo happy to be part of the same team now.

My name is Iris (pronounced more like E-ris). I live in Australia, but was born in Germany. I've been here now for a tad over 14 yrs and love the Aussie lifestyle. I'm married and have two beautiful girls who keep me on my toes.

I can't wait to meet you all, but most of all I can't wait to read all of your stories (as much as time allows it - life's just too busy), but with the aussie dollar being so strong hubby doesn't mind when i go on a spending spree :-)

Some of us have friends in Australia - so it's great to meet yet another person from upside-down land! And I'm very happy that you enjoyed Heartsight. :-)

Chynna - book is about an aussie girl traveling to Ireland to figure
out the dreams she's having. Love everything Irish. went there last
year and had the best time ever!

I always find it interesting, esp here in Australia, people's
background from all different countries. It's great.

I suppose it could be, Iris. Lots of people have suggested it but I can't seem to pick into the era (1940s) to write.

Hm, says the 1940 mystery writer. That wasn't a barb, was it, Kate?

Hello, Iris, pleasure meeting you. I spent three-plus years writing economic and technical trading articles for an Aussie client, working through a Northern Ireland website manager with a Scotsman owner and his Belfast wife. Yes, I dream about them, so I'll have to read your story. Think I'm gonna love it.

ironically, went last night to a new pub here in so cal that served a guinness float!  guinness with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. no complaints from all who tried it.

I only spent a "long" w/end in dublin. We stayed 4 weeks in Germany
with my family so there wasn't much time, just enough for me to get
over for a quick visit to visit my friend :-)
