Hello Group,
we are running ASTPP successfully.  We are passing calls between ASTPP and FusionPBX (Freeswitch with gui).  We have tenants set up on Fusionpbx.
We have some customers that have enough extensions / service to justify their own domain.  For those customers the correct caller ID is sent.  We have one tenant that has a few 1 (no more than 2) extensions so we put them all on customers.xxxxx.net.  We found that to properly route calls to proper destinations on Fusionpbx we had to use the sip device user name as the destination number not the acrual DID.  So this works,

Now what happens is,the first user we put on customers.xxxxx.net is the number that appears on a destination phone.  As we have added additional cusomers (extensions) calls from those extensions are showing up as the DID number of the original customer.

We have tried using the user of the sip device and the account number but calls still appear with the caller id number of the first customer set up.

Do we need to set up a sip device on ASTPP and a corresponding gateway on Fusionpbx?

Does anybody have a way to have different users on the same tenant to send the proper caller id number?

Thank you everybody in advance.

Jeff,

I have only just installed ASTPP but I will do some testing.

With regards to multi tenant fusionpbx I would advise you give them ALL their own domains, even if its just one extension. The way we approach this is to get a domain, mysuperpbx.com and then just give them like, acme.mysuperpbx.com, joebloggs.mysuperpbx.com, etc.

That also means you can just get one wildcard SSL certificate that will cover everything.

Hi Darren,
thanks for your reply and suggestion.  Yes I had thought of that option.  It just seems a bit messy for a customer with just one phone.  I was hoping somebody had encountered this and had a way.  I ;guess for now I will use your method until either somebody suggests an other way or the ASTPP people create a way and add it to a future release.

I have been in telecom for 30 years (Nortel) and it is interesting to see the 'wish list' of users and admins over the years.  I often wondered where people came up with the 'nice to have' features / functions and further wondered 'what do they need that for?' In light of that I find it amazing that what we have today in ASTPP and Freeswirch / Fusionpbx.  I am confident that the ASTPP people will eventually see this as a need and add this functionality.

Thanks again Darren

Hi Jeff,

I am trying to understand your issue with extensions under customers.xxxxx.net but I am not pretty much sure about your call flow and configuration. Would it be possible for you to provide some more information? We can try to find a way to make that working with customers.xxxxx.net.

@Darren, I agree with your solution to creating sub domains for each tenant/user. That way records and maintenance might be bit complex but you will be able to manage things separately.

About wish list, that's nice idea. We tried to get the feedback and kinda wish list from the users by providing feedback form in admin panel but haven't yet received more than 5 feedback (3 test feedback out of 5). If anyone has idea or system to maintain wish lists then please share.

Me and my team are always ready to add more features in ASTPP which can useful to all.

Best Regards

Hi Samir,
thank you for your reply and interest.

Rather than just giving you a lot of information and may not answer question, what would be helpful?

In general, in calls go from provider>>astpp >>fusionpbx <customers.xxxxx.net>.  This works fine and passes correct caller id of originating caller.

In astpp calls come in to gateway>> trunk>> DID>> Destination>> Sip Device >> Fusion PBX>>

Fusion PBX >>gateway>> Destination (using use of SIP Device (same as destination in DID routing) instead of actual DID number

outbound
extension on Fusionpbx (tried actual caller id as it is in DID on astpp and the destination id as it is in the destination for inbound) >> astpp>> provider.  Receiving phone see Caller ID of the first extension that was set up on that tenant.  In CDRs the call is seen as made from the account of the first extension that was set up on that tenant.

I do not see a way to link the extension on fusion to the proper account on astpp.

Jeff see my other post "DID INVITE Format", may help.

Create a gateway for each tenant on the FusionPBX to the ASTPP box

If you have a static IP and no NAT, you can set registration to false to save a little traffic.

Darren

Hello Samir and Darren,
any more thought on this issue?

For now I will take your suggestions and create a tenant for every user, even if they only have one extension.

But if have any ideas to route specific extensions to ASTPP so it links to the extension account and associated that extension / user's caller ID.

Thank you both for your efforts and information.

Jeff,

It can probably be hacked around to work that way but it just seems such a wrong approach. From a multitenant fusionPBX point of view you don't really want to be mixing tenants within a domain.

Hi Jeff,

Do you see other extension's caller id (except first one) in astpp fs log when they are sending out the calls?

If not then please set caller id variables in destination gateway like origination caller_id_number and origination caller_id_name. I think that should resolve the problem.

Please correct me if I am understanding anything wrong.

Best Regards

I am not using Fusion, but ran into a like issue. So on our multitenant system (they all have their own out bound routes) I just prefix the number their are dialing with their account code and then have astpp strip it back out by putting "XXXXXXXX/" in the translation field of the customer.
