Has anyone ever experience this issue.

I checked for all credentials only to find out that the libmyodbc.so is missing
is this file i can download 3rd party?

 isql -v astpp
[01000][unixODBC][Driver Manager]Can't open lib '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/odbc/libmyodbc.so' : file not found
[ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect

the file path from x86 do not exist.
- running debain v8.8 

I've gone through the old post and verifi the odbc credentials

That's myodbc lib file missing problem. 
Confirm if libmyodbc is installed and the .so file path which is defined in odbc.ini is correct. If not then correct it and try again.

Yes the file is missing also the file path - I wanted to believe it is a problem with the processor i could be wrong - i am using a 32bit test machine and the file in question work on a 64bit machine...

apt-get install libmyodbc unixodbc-bin
Check .so file now at "/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/odbc/libmyodbc.so"
If file is there. mention this path in you "/etc/odbc.ini"
If .so is not there then search for libmyodbc.so in /usr/lib and give correct path.

i was looking for the i386 path to replace it with x86_64 but for some reason i wasn't seeing it...thanks it works!
