OVF

I have spent 2 days on installing astpp with freeswitch on CentOS 6.4 now.

 

Now everything is installed, freeswitch is running and astpp webgui is avaiable and usable.

 

I have now create a VMWARE OVF template.

 

If anybody want to get it, I offer for 200 $.

ASTPP team spent years working on this and they offer it for free and you sell it for 200$ because you barely had enough brain to complete the install? Please do not fall for this. If you really can not do the install on your own please ask me and I can make a vmware image for free.

Here's the other side of the picture. One of the ways to measure the
success of your open source project is when other people start selling
services or products based on it.

I know I've not been involved in this project for quite some time but
I fail to see the point in beating up Pöhler.

Hi Darren,

I agree. But, the project can not go forward if those people are not giving anything back. The way I see an commercial ecosystem around the project is by offering payed support, additional bug fixing and feature development AND contributing back the code and features. Otherwise, only a few people are moving the software forward and this will mean slow progress for everybody, people behind the project and commercial entities. Anyway, I can not stop Pöhler selling the vmware image, he is free to do so.
