The developer will work with the Product Development Manager in the planning, design, development, testing and deploying of web based products. Close contact will be required with the entire Product Development Staff to ensure that the developer’s activities are in line with the goals of larger projects involving multiple developers. Maintaining set design standards for the larger project to ensure compatibility will be essential for this position. YieldStar places a strong emphasis on client service, so the developer, while not a frontline customer contact, will interact with customers to ensure that their requirements are met in the most efficient manner. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • The primary responsibility is to develop highly scalable SaaS based JAVA applications on Linux platform, applying sound object oriented principles and design patterns. • Follow best practices of the industry for delivering high-quality software in a timely manner and to the specification. • Provide customer service as needed, responding to requests by clients both internal and external • Track work flow, ensure that assigned tasks are on target for completion time lines • Participate in design and code reviews • Participate in product testing and tuning for performance REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • Ideal candidate will have hands on 4+ years experience in the following: Web application development using JAVA and opensource technologies, tools and APIs: Spring/Hibernate, Struts, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, SQL, XML, ANT, Tomcat, HTML, JavaScript.
