Sundeep (Sundeep Kishan), the younger son of the house is a helpful guy, but always gets into trouble whenever he helps anybody. Having used up his quota of 99 mistakes, he stands on the threshold of being thrown out of his home.
As usual, Sundeep gets into some minor skirmish and misses the train. To avoid being punished for his 100th mistake, he tries to catch the train. There begins his adventure. In the process, he meets Prarthana (Rakul Preet) and how he joins his family members forms the crux of the story.
Sundeep Kishan delivers a decent performance, but needs to work on his expressions. The action scenes leave a lot to be desired. Nagineedu plays the strict father to perfection and gives yet another good performance. Newcomer Rakul Preet Singh is pretty and impressive in the small role that she has. She has a bright future. Saptagiri and Tagubothu Ramesh provide good comic relief. Brahmaji brings on the laughter in his brief role.
Passengers of Chittoor-bound Venkatadri Express had a narrow escape when the train coaches separated near Mamandur station in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district on Monday morning. According to Renigunta Government Railway Police (GRP) as many as three coaches of the express train were decoupled from engine, sending the passengers into a tizzy.
Railway police said the train, which had left Kacheguda station in Hyderabad on Sunday, split into two near Mamandur station before it was ending its journey in Chittoor. The engine had moved about half-a-kilometer after the decoupling.
Technical team of the Railway department swung into action and rushed to the scene to repair the coupling. Speaking to TNM, GRP Renigunta Circle Inspector said, "The train was going towards Chittoor. The incident happened near Mamandur, 10km away from Renigunta. A link that connects the coaches was disconnected at S3 coach leading to separation of S3, S2, and S1 from train. The train guard who observed the glitch alerted the pilot."
He further added, "Within 20 minutes, the decoupled coaches were attached. A brief technical intervention by concerned officials has also taken place after the train reached Renigunta junction. The train ran more than an hour late."
The serious lapse has caused a lot of inconvenience to the passengers. Venkatadri Express is a regular train from Kacheguda, Hyderabad's busiest station. It is aimed at accommodating the journey of pilgrims to the Tirumala Tirupati temple. It was reported that most of the passengers were devotees who are visiting the temple.
The next hour went in serious discussion, where everyone expressed that having achieved reasonable-to-good material success, there was a feeling of lack of fulfilment and purpose. The good part of the discussion was that everyone in the group had got involved into something that was giving them a sense of happiness and a feeling of giving back to society. One of my friends (Satish) had adopted a village in Vidarbha to help out the farmers to eke out a living. The situation in some of the villages where farmers even ate grass to survive had moved him so much that he decided that he would help them with getting alternate sources of income. Another friend (Sameer) had got into teaching the poor slum kids in his weekends. Another friend (Maninder), who held a very senior position in an Indian financial sector, had driven CSR in his various committees to help out young girls who were harassed in many orphanages. He had got funding from his bank and other institutions to adopt the orphanage and got his colleagues including himself to visit the orphanage every week which ensured that the girls had protection of exposure so that they would not be exploited by the orphanage management. Another friend (Indranil) had got into creating and support young entrepreneurs in his village in West Bengal to think beyond employment and get into creating new businesses. Another (Sahu) was a mentor for startups. I also explained what I was doing in my own small way. The description about the contribution being made by each one, made everyone feel humble and reflective.
The mood became so engaging that new ideas were getting discussed on how each of us could support the less privileged. The common feeling was that all of us were privileged to have received good education and employment opportunities and it is time for us to return to society to express our gratefulness to our good destiny.
We have heard of ultra rich personalities donating millions and billions of Dollars for philanthropy. I salute these individuals for their contribution to society. At the same time, I am also amazed at the contribution that friends like mine are making in their own small way to make an impact to society. I am reminded of the story that I have heard in my childhood from my parents that in the service of God and mankind, it is not the magnitude of the offering that draws one closer to God but the quality and meaningfulness of the contribution that matters. In our own way, I could see that the 9 of us and I am aware that many of my other classmates were exactly doing that.
