More than 1 million people were attacked by a new kind of germ last Saturday.

This attack did not make the news anywhere because no one got sick.
The human body contains a wonderful immune system that protects it from such attacks.

Unfortunately for those affected by the ransomware cyberattack that same day their software systems did not contain an immune system. In fact their software systems contain open “sores” that enable such attacks.

Software hygiene anyone?

Hi Jack

It made the news big time in the UK, partly because the attack affected quite a lot of NHS (National Health Service) units. Statements by ministers, political ramifications in UK and Scottish parliaments.

Cheers
