Migration Toolkit is a powerful command-line tool that offers granular control of the migration process. Migration Toolkit helps with migrating database objects and data to an EDB Postgres Advanced Server or PostgreSQL database from:

You can install Migration Toolkit with the EDB Postgres Advanced Server installer or by using Stack Builder. Stack Builder is distributed with both the EDB Postgres Advanced Server and the PostgreSQL one-click installer available from the EnterpriseDB website.

The term Postgres in this documentation refers to either an installation of EDB Postgres Advanced Server or PostgreSQL. The term Stack Builder refers to either StackBuilder Plus (distributed with EDB Postgres Advanced Server) or Stack Builder (distributed with the PostgreSQL one-click installer from EnterpriseDB).

It dramatically cuts the effort, cost, and risk of migrating to/from any of the following database formats: Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, IBM Informix, InterSystems Cach, Teradata, Visual Foxpro, SQLite, FireBird, InterBase, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Paradox, Lotus, dBase, CSV/Text and transfer any ODBC DSN data source to them.

You can migrate data between two different character sets(e.g.: UTF8, CP1250 etc.) and the software automatically convert different data encodings. You can also change the field name/data type/nullable/precision/numscale or filter data when migrating.Program Features

It features DBMS Native API and bulk-insert technology that can enhance productivity by speeding up the entire migration process. Our customers success by using this tool to migrate Carrier-Grade database with multi-million records (SQL Server to Oracle)!

Under the guidance of this wizard, you can smoothly migrate your data in just three simple steps, making the process stress-free while ensuring data integrity and orderliness throughout the migration. It supports over a dozen popular database formats, including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, IBM Informix, InterSystems Cach, Teradata, Visual Foxpro, SQLite, FireBird, InterBase, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Paradox, Lotus, dBase, CSV/Text.

I'm trying to port a database from SQL Server Express over to my MySQL database. I've made sure the SQL Express is running on port 1433 and all, and the MySQL Migration toolkit is even able to see the different databases/schemas I have in my SQL Server Express DB.

The problem is that MySql Migration toolkit won't let me press "next" until I enter a username/password, which doesn't make sense to me since it is able to connect to the Express DB and view all of the schemas without those.

The purpose of the data migration toolkit is to allow the customer to upgrade from an India (IN) version of Dynamics NAV 2016 to latest version of Business Central India. The toolkit will cover the migration of India localization data, but will not cover the migration of any customization, it has to be managed by partner/customer.

Data migration from an India (IN) version of Dynamics NAV 2016 to Business Central 2021 release wave 2 is a two-step process. Data of Dynamics NAV 2016 is migrated to Business Central April 2019 release and then it is further migrated to Business Central 2021 release wave 2.

Some localization tables have been deprecated in Business Central 2021 release wave 2. List of deprecated tables has been provided in the documentation. If any custom fields were added in these tables, then data stored in these fields needs to be migrated manually.

Customized Roles & Permissions from Dynamics NAV 2016 must be reconfigured manually in Business Central 2021 release wave 2. The India (IN) localization table Ids have been changed in Business Central 2021 release wave 2. Dynamics NAV 2016 India (IN) environment, from where the data is to be migrated to Business Central, must have CU 66 and TDS 194 Hotfix.

For data migration from Business Central April 2019 release to Business Central 2021 release wave 2 On-Prem, see information, Data Migration from Business Central April 2019 release to Business Central 2021 release wave 2 On-Prem

For data migration from customized, Business Central April 2019 release to Business Central 2021 release wave 2 On-Prem, see information, Data Migration from Customized Business Central April 2019 release to Business Central 2021 release wave 2 On-Prem

Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA) is a set of tools that you can use to accelerate large-scale application modernization efforts across hybrid cloud environments on Red Hat OpenShift. MTA looks for common resources and known trouble spots when migrating applications. It provides a high-level view of the technologies used by the application. MTA also generates a detailed report that evaluates a migration or modernization path. By using this report, you can estimate the effort required for large-scale projects and reduce the work involved.

The migration solution for Java applications that was provided in the Migration Toolkit for Applications 5.x releases (migration and modernization of Java applications) is now available with Migration Toolkit for Runtimes 1.0.

The Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA) contains rule-based migration tools (analyzers) that you can use to analyze the application user interfaces (APIs), technologies, and architectures used by the applications you plan to migrate. MTA analyzer rules use the following rule pattern:

MTA builds a data model based on the rule execution results and stores component data and relationships in a graph database. This database can then be queried and updated as required by the migration rules and for reporting purposes.

MTA provides a comprehensive set of rules to assess the suitability of your applications for containerization and deployment on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP). You can run an MTA analysis to assess your applications' suitability for migration to multiple target platforms.

The CLI is a command-line tool in the Migration Toolkit for Applications that you can use to assess and prioritize migration and modernization efforts for applications. It provides numerous reports that highlight the analysis without using the other tools. The CLI includes a wide array of customization options. By using the CLI, you can tune MTA analysis options or integrate with external automation tools.

"Database migrations are something that Java developers struggle with, and Flyway provides a nice tool that anyone with basic knowledge of SQL can use. For that reason it has become the favourite migration tool in the Spring Boot team."

"With techniques such as continuous delivery becoming more mainstream, automated database migrations are a baseline capability for many software teams. Flyway makes it as painless as possible to automate this process."

"With Flyway you can combine the full power of SQL with solid versioning. This makes setting up and maintaining database schemas a breeze. We use it across all environments including production, making it a perfect fit for our continuous delivery and zero downtime pipeline. I highly recommend it."

Hi there ;D
I have a little forum, that 13 years old. I would make a migration with the extensions from michaelbelgium. But I write here in this post issues,
-migration-from-mybb-to-flarum
Maybe, you can help me ?
Edit: I have found your Tool, so I would test with this. maybe runs better ;D

@linc We have a pretty large forum on Invision 4 and heavily utilize the Downloads module. I plan to pay a bounty for an extension to be made once we decide to move forward with this decision, but I'm curious if you'd be able to also work with us on getting those moved over too? We are trying to plan ahead of Invisions price increase and other questionable decisions, but aren't finding any alternatives without commissioning some help like this.

Circa I think that's a reasonable extension to the Porter. Whenever possible, I like to support data even if it's from a plugin/extension if the extension is publicly available & widely used and the data is valuable.

Hi linc ;D
I sent you an email or better I filled out the form and sent it a week ago. Haste get the mail ? I have only a small forum, which is based on Mybb 1.8.36. Would be great if you could help me with the conversion.

Edit:
So, I tried the Nitro-Porter tool, but I'm not sure if I did everything right. When I started the whole thing in the browser, there was a white page. I didn't find any log files either. Therefore, I can not say what went wrong.

Jbugy I don't know anything about using Nitro Porter, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't run it on a local copy of your forum as long as you have access to all the tools locally (PHP, Composer, etc.)

Whenever you work on a copy of your forum offline for development, testing or migration, you don't have to make it accessible over the internet so there's very little to configure in term of security since you are already working behind your private network firewall. To get PHP and a webserver on a regular PC for development there are many tools like XAMPP that makes this process easy.

The only potential issue I can see is if some tool automatically reads and stores the currently used domain name, which would likely be localhost when working locally. Even if the wrong URL ends up in the database, it's often very similar to when you would move from a domain name to another. You can perform a few search and replace in the database to fix it after you identify which tables/columns are impacted, or do the search and replace on the SQL dump itself afterwards.

With composer install:
composer install
You are using Composer 1 which is deprecated. You should upgrade to Composer 2, see -composer-1-support/
