hi

i'm trying to configure a TE205P on asterisk@home

i've edited /etc/sysconfig/zaptel adding this line:

MODULES="$MODULES wct2xxp"

now, when the system is loading, i can see that the wct2xxp module is
loaded correctly

but if i try the command:
/usr/local/sbin/genzaptelconf

i get:

STOPPING ASTERISK

STOPPING FOP SERVER
Generating '/etc/zaptel.conf'
Generating '/etc/asterisk/zapata-auto.conf'

Asterisk could not start!
Use 'tail /var/log/asterisk/full' to find out why.

/var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl exist?)

the file asterisk.ctl esists...
[root@asterisk1 /]# ls -la /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl

and this is what is reported in the logs:

The genzaptelconf doesn't work with E1/T1 cards in my experience.
You will have to configure it by hand.

I've been playing with *@Home and beating myself up over this also.
I gotten setup before with some help but have been trying to re-install
@Home 2.5 by "following the book" with a TE210P card which connects to
my Definity as a PRI card that I want to use for sending and receiving
calls from/to.
Can anybody that really KNOWS, confirm the statement below that
genzaptelconf does NOT work for T1/E1 installs in *@Home? If so, that
would mean that you need to ignore the warnings about not editing the
zaptel.conf and zapata.conf files by hand--which should be mentioned in
the @Home Wiki--along with the answer to the following:
What should be the steps to follow and what are the gotchas so as not
to loose the ability to use AMP for the rest of your configurations?
Can you provide a sample Zaptel.conf and Zapata.conf with the general
settings to do what I describe above?
Thanks in advance for the giving person that takes the time to answer
this for all us newbies.
