Unable to allocate socket: Too many open files

[BOXTRIX]

Hola chicos, estoy teniendo un problema con un asterisk 1.2 (se que no
me he actualizado, pero creo que éste problema no es de asteirsk
propiamente dicho), pero asterisk estrictamente me solicita cambiar
algún valor, no se si es el de la cantidad de peticiones, en fin me
tiene un poco loco.-
(El tema es que sucede cuando tengo un flood de llamadas bastante
grande y eos ahce que colapse el server). Le doy asterisk stop /
asterisk start y listo vuelve todo a la normalidad.

Mucha gente me ha mencionado el tema de configurar el "ulimit".

Alguien me podrá ayudar?
