Assyrian annual aconvention

Dear Fellow Assyrians;

I have been writing many emails and articles about how we can resurrect Assyria and Assyrians. Our organization of “Bne Ashur” have plan and we put our plan into action to resurrect Assyria. We know it will taker us years, but we have no other option.

 

Now my question is to all the Assyrians patriotic; would you each write your idea or a plan in how we can rise? I know we all talk about our problems, but how about the solutions? not only that but who is willing to carry on with the ultimate plan that you may have? All that I see is we email each other or meet on Pal-talk or on Face-book just to talk without any action. 

But I know this, which thousand of Assyrians around the world do take action and prepare to travel to attend the annual “party convention” that is prepared annually by Assyrian federation, this year in California.

We do have the money to meet every year to dance and party, but we don’t have money or time to meet every year to put a plan into action for resurrection. We became a nation of dancing only, rather than a nation of fighting. Why would the united nation, America, Iraq or European country feel sorry for us when we don’t even try to meet once a year for our own salvation as a nation? 

We do remembrance of our martyrs every year on August 7^t. How about the young Assyrian generations in Diaspora that are melting in different society and losing their Assyrian language and identity. Who will do their remembrance? And on what day shall we do their remembrance? For they are living dead.  

For God sake, I am calling on all the Assyrian church leaders, Assyrian political parties leaders and Assyrian activists to set a date so we all can meet annually in a true Assyrian convention, without dancing, to discus our situations and plan in order for us to unite and bring salvation for this small divided nation, “the Assyrians”

No one can unite us, but only us. And no one can rise Assyria, but only us.

Come to the Assyrian convention in San Diego like many of us who only party in the evening. 

I am looking forward to discuss this and many other ideas during the day and listen together to the lectures.

This year there are several quality speakers such as Dr. Aryo Makko (Stockholm), Dr. Nicholas Al-Jeloo (Sydney), Alda Benjamin (Washington), etc.

Dear M. Arsan.

Thank you for the invitation, I have been in many conventions and listened to many quality speakers.

Unfortunately no result but only speaking and lecturing.

I am not calling people to lecture instead,I am calling on all the Assyrian church leaders, Assyrian political party leaders and Assyrian activists to set a date so we all can meet annually in a true Assyrian convention, without dancing, to discus our situations and plan in order for us to unite and bring salvation for this small divided nation, “the Assyrians”

I have nothing against the federation to hold conventions party, they can do what ever they want. But i want a separated convention dedicated only to find solutions for our problems and to find ways to help our needy Assyrians. Not by talk and lectures instead by actions.
