Job Description: Business Systems Engineer
Location: Atlanta, Corporate Office
Reports to: Vice President, Information Technology
Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM, Monday - Friday. Additional evening and
weekend hours may be required, including on-call Saturday support.
Limited travel required.
Primary Responsibility:
To design, implement, maintain, and support financial systems
infrastructure as well as companion products and integrations.

Essential Functions:
Manage all financial systems and supporting infrastructure
maintenance
Maintain JD Edwards and AS/400 daily operations, including scheduled
jobs, integration points, printing, and all backup operations
Develop system integration solutions to improve and maintain
efficiencies
Responsible for maintaining budgeting systems and solutions.
Provide direct, first-line telephone, e-mail, and instant messaging
support for financial systems hardware, software, and application
related problems, at remote sites and corporate locations
Responsible for managing disaster recovery planning and testing and
overall financial systems business continuity.
• Serve as financial business solutions subject matter expert with the
ability to troubleshoot and determine root causes of problems in a
timely manner.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and analyzes
business needs to optimize efficiencies
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards as it relates to call
handling, issue processing, and documentation
• Utilize Help Desk software to log service calls, provide detailed
documentation for all customer interactions and final resolutions
• Assist as needed in the installation of hardware and software for
all necessary scheduled upgrades and deployments
• Maintain accurate, updated information databases for all software
and hardware support tasks
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to
focus. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch,
and crawl. The employee must own and be able to operate a motor
vehicle.
Qualifications and Additional Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems
preferred
• 6+ years experience maintaining and supporting JD Edwards
environment
• Advanced subject matter expertise in maintaining and supporting IBM
OS/400 environment
• RPG and CL programming experience required
• Experience using and supporting Showcase Strategy preferred
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server stack (TSQL/SSIS/SSAS) and
Microsoft.Net platform preferred
• Familiar with computer hardware and/or software support, including
but not limited to upgrades, file and print sharing, data backup
methods
• Knowledge of the following, but not limited to Microsoft Office
suite of products, Internet Explorer, all version of MS Windows
Operating System
• Excellent customer service skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Organized and detail oriented; must be a self-starter
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations
