Hola,

Parece que ahora empiezan a aparecer web de objetos como setas

Aquí hay una más que he descubierto hoy:

   http://www.fabfabbers.com/

Como cosa interesante tiene que los objetos están alojados en el github

Hola from FabFabbers

Sorry to post in English - but hopefully Google Groups will translate if needed.

Thanks for trying out FabFabbers! I'd really be pleased if you have any requests or suggestions.

Thanks

Marcos

Nice to have you around, Marcos, keep the good work!

ps: wow, CloneWars was international, now we are going interlingual!

Marcos

I have a request regarding the nice Openscad-Online feature you have on http://www.fabfabbers.com/openscad/, Would it be possible to have control  over the rotation movement when displaying the model?

Would be nice to have at least a button to stop and start it better yet if we can control the speed.

Cheers,

Nice! :)

I see FabFabbers use Thingview in order to render STL files from
OpenSCAD. There is a similar viewer announced by GitHub [1], but I
don't know if it is released as open-source software.

I changed this to use the lightgl.js output (which requires WebGL). I also moved to use csg.js for the boolean CSG ops, which is a lot faster than the CGAL equivalent.

Marcos

I have just tested the online openscad and indeed it feels much faster also thanks for getting rid of the automatic rotation.

My laptop is not WebGL capable :_)

Never mind! Remembering (again) that I need to change this old machine...

Ah - shame. But now there's even more reason to upgrade. I implemented what's called an 'image-based' CSG algorithm on http://www.fabfabbers.com/openscad/

That means it uses your graphics card to work out very quickly what the model would 'look' like, without actually doing all the geometry (the desktop version uses something similar using OpenCSG).

Give it a go if you can on a computer with WebGL, and let me know how it is for you.

Thanks

Marcos
