Upon installing Windows 11 I noticed my network driver was not working. Applying known troubleshooting steps I was able to manage the power/dns settings so that the adapter worked properly however this did not work. Knowing the issue was most likely an ethernet adapter update i went to your intel site to install the 'Intel Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack." The download worked fine however it seems after update 28.3 there is no longer an autorun.exe in the zip extracted file. I was wondering if you had knowledge as to what file do i then access to install updates for i211. I read the readme file as well as the release product information however i still dont have a clue what from the package am i supposed to install. Please help as the extreme depths of files make it hard to understand what files are necessary to restore my network adapters to optimal performance.

I finally solved the problem after much trial and error. What seems to have been the problem was indeed not the driver but the Antivirus I had called Avast One. Apparently Avast one has a known issue to look at DHCP traffic and turn it off while connected to the internet. A trouble shooting step I would encourage for future issues that customers experiencing this issue would be to check their Antivirus Software as research has found several antivirus products are the culprit for this frustating issue. I am gonna write this issue as resolved thanks very much.

Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced. Please find the updated driver link below. If you encounter any further issues, please let us know, and we will assist you with a clean driver installation.

Here is my update after installing the 29.01/PRO1000/Winx64/w11 update driver. Im not sure if the driver worked as the driver information seems correct with Driver date and version being 11/24/2023 and 14.0.2.0 however internet still fails to work on the device. Utilizing multiple ethernet cables I am unsure what can be the cause of my issue. I imagine there must just be something physically wrong with my adapter. I will give my ISP a call and see what can be resolved as it may be a issue with the router.

Apparently there is something quite wrong with the I211 and windows 11 compatibility as it can not have PROSET. Although updated 29.01 update has a driver for Windows 11 issues still remain. According to the thread above it seems like the customer with the problem had to configure settings so that the driver can work. I am not sure if the I211-AT and I211 are the same but the driver will disconnect on its own no matter if you have installed the latest driver or have turned off advanced settings to prevent this issue. My online research seems to point to the issue either being a problem with PROSET and Windows 11 or the I211 compatibility with new driver updates. I am unsure what to do but it seems I may have to buy a new product if the ethernet indefinitely does not work. Would love to know your input on a solution but at this point I have given up on all trouble shooting steps.

In the provided intel thread above the user seems to have found the problem lied withing the power management settings and the speed duplex settings. Although i have successfully installed the new driver it seems it still has kinks to work out with older i211 drivers.

The issue remains that no matter what version used the Internet will work only shortly after the computer is turned on and after a 30 second or 20 minute period the driver will disconnect from the internet. I may have to make a video explaining my problems more in depth on Youtube as I believe this is truly a driver/OS issue and more people are having this issue. Please also read the setup file in 29.1 PROSET1000 as it would make it seem as if the driver is compatible with w11 however issues continue to persist.

During small investigation i find that if i change setting (for example Energy Efficient Ethernet) in Advanced tab of adapter (in Device Manager) - i have exactly the same message in Event Viewer right after change apply. For me it look's like right after system boot something (maybe specific setting) apply on adapter, it do it thing (turn off\turn on - i don't know) and warning appear in Event Viewer.

For this matter, as you stated that you have installed the driver from a bigger pack which means you may install it from the generic Intel drivers. Please kindly refer below for the steps that you can take to mitigate the issue:

Also. does the card connects to a switch? If yes, if the Energy Efficient Ethernet is set to OFF with the switch port enabled, it may caused the connection to be dropped for a while and prompting the event 27 to occurred

Lastly I would recommend a clean driver installation however since you are using an ASUS card which is an OEM from Intel, it's best to check with the manufacturer as the software drivers linked from Intel page are generic versions, and can be used for general purposes. The cards are also configured and tailored to run with the OEM's requirement of the card. To avoid any potential installation incompatibilities on the OEM system, Intel recommends checking with the OEM and use the software provided via the system manufacturer.

Understood that you are having an issue with the i211 NIC getting disconnected. For this matter, can you help to elaborate by the meaning It happening right after each boot, does it meant that the NIC will disconnect every time you boot the PC and continues to disconnects? Or was it an intermittent issue where the NIC will sometimes disconnects and reconnect on its own?

Let's be crystally clear about this: I have got "Warning message with number 27 in Even Viewer right after each boot of OS". But as soon as i run Google Chrome - connection to internet is working. I am 100% sure it is (connection) exist after warning message, but i not sure it exist before warning message since time window is too small to react or check (few seconds, meybe less). So, connection after warning message exist all the time - i may view YouTube videos\long Twitch streams - no problems detected and no new warnings.

Message in Event Viewer will be exactly the same. Like it's disconnected, but it working fine after. Apply of setting require disconnect (reconnect) of adaper. But for some reason it's happening after each boot and i don't know how (or where) to look what's going on with adaper from press of "Start" button on motherboard till getting warning message.

I may try to install Windows 10 Pro (clean install) on another disk and check if there will be error. That way it will be possible to exclude adapter from equation (if there will no error on boot - problem in Windows 11 Pro or it's services configuration).

2. Another way to confirm (or prooth as you wish) is to take a look in Release Notes (PDF file) on page. If we open page #10 of PDF "Table 4. Supported Operating Systems: Windows Client pcontinued]" it's have got driver name "e1r" and in collumn "Microsoft Windows 11" we can see version of driver - 13.0.14.x;

I think it's more productive to try find solution for a problem then waste time on false discussion that product don't supported (because if it's not supported - cut if from driver). I belive that in Intel work great engineers, they make all this things after all, and if right people take a look on a problem they find solutiuon even faster then 3 days.

From my side, i am ready to find solution, offer my time on research and test options. Why i need that? Because i know that many other people with such motherboars or such cards on diffirent boards have same problem too and need solution for it.
