Iam trying to help a customer in getting their Mitel 6900 Series VoIP phones move to 802.1X using EAP-TLS. While CPPM part in configuring service and the rest is under control, I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this in real life deployment, as I would like to know:

The MITEL-MIB file has no extension, as a result it doesn't get scanned by the MIB Importer when importing the mitelipera3000mib. As soon as you rename it to MITEL-MIB.mib the import will work. I've tested it out.

If there is already a file called MITEL-MIB in the folder from which you're importing the other MIB, please open the file in a text editor and make sure it actually is the MIB (and not something else). To be considered a MIB the file needs to contain the following:

These phones are now supported on RC with autoprovision phone per ( -supported-deskphones-ringcentral.html#mitel). However, the instructions given by the RC admin portal wizard and also on -provisioning-mitel-deskphones.html will not work if your phones are on older shoretel firmware. I spoke with Mitel SIP phone support and here are the steps that worked. Sharing for anyone who is trying to convert these phones to RC.

If you get "No service" after entering the config server and rebooting, try this instead: after the phone reboots in step 3, watch the phone boot up. When it says something like "press any key to enter setup", press any key. Then continue from step 5 and enter the config server address.
