Abstract
HALT began 40 years ago with a simple idea of testing beyond specifications in order to better understand design margins. Over the past 40 years, thousands of engineers around the world have been exposed to the concepts of HALT and have tried the techniques. This tutorial will explore what we have learned in the past 40 Years and what the future of HALT could be? This will also be one of the 4 tutorials at the Accelerated Stress Testing and Reliability (ASTR) workshop October 9-11 in San Diego so this webinar will be a sneak preview of what we will present in October.
Speaker’s Bio
Mike Silverman is the founder and a managing partner at Ops A La Carte, a Professional Consulting Company that has an intense focus on helping customers with end-to-end reliability. Mike has over 25 years of experience in reliability engineering, reliability management and reliability training. He is an experienced leader in reliability improvement through analysis and testing. Mike has a BS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is a Certified Reliability Engineer.
