The Application Analyst works in a team environment developing detailed specifications outlining programming requirements. Responsible for analysis, design, and implementation of information system solutions using development methodology. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains these programs.
Project Description:
Conversion of Person, Visit(encounter) and Appointment data from various legacy systems to Siemens Financials. Technologies are PERL, DB2, SQL Server, UNIX Shell Scripting, HL7(optional)
Position includes following activities
Analysis of Data
Design/Development of SQL Stored Procedures and PERL Scripts to extract, cleanse, format and validate data Creation/execution of Test Plans Mentoring new Team Members on technologies such as SQL stored procedures and PERL
Skills needed
3+ years writing SQL queries and stored procedures for DB2, SQL Server
3+ or similar DB
2+ years PERL experience including PERL scripts which extract data from
2+ DB
Experience with Data Conversions
Solid background of requirements gathering, analysis, design, unit and system testing Strong attention to details and mentoring skills Knowledge of HL7, application integration, Master Person Index applications or hospital registration a plus, but not required
Database Platforms DB2 & SQL Server
Programming Language Perl & Unix Shell Scripting Additional - SQL and SQL Procedures 3 years
