You are aware of my proposal dated 24/10/14, advising that in excess of
25% of owners were calling for an EGM. At that time I made a proposal
whereby we could avoid the necessity of holding two EGM's.which has been
something I have been keen to avoid all along.
That being said we appear to be locked into the two meetings already
scheduled. It may well be for the best, as I have concerns that the
proposed method of selecting a new committee appears not to give "All
owners an equal right of voting"

The proposal to cancel the circulated general meeting would require the
approval of "all nine owners who proposed the Extra Ordinary General
Meeting" and is therefore not a decision of the committee.
The motion presented in the extra ordinary general meeting is to
"dismiss the present committee", it is not a motion to remove and
replace a member or to fill a casual vacancy.
If the owners vote to dismiss the present committee then it is the right
of all owners to vote on who will make up the new committee if a ballot
is required, not just the owners present at the meeting.
For this to be fair and equitable then all owners have the right to
nominate and if a ballot is required then "all owners have equal right
of voting" on who will make up the seven members of the committee.
Meeting 13 December -
If the proposed committee scenario of a meeting on the 13 December was
to take place and the rights of all owners was not adhered too then any
one of the nine owners could apply to have the meeting ruled out of
order by the commissioner and that will naturally cause further delay.
