I like the move to cherrypy.
Have you ever looked at the rocket web server? https://launchpad.net/rocket

This is beyond my programming level, but web2py switched from
cherrypy to rocket for some reason. my guess was because it was
faster.

Rene,

Thanks for the tip. I've added this and released it as 0.10.4. You can now specify 'rocket' as the engine to use on the command line and in aspen.conf. You have to manually install rocket for this to work.


I've also got bjoern on my radar:


I'm having installation issues on OS X, however. Any other HTTP engines Aspen should support?
