Re-Cap of 2/15 Meeting - Proposed Slate of New Officers and Bylaws

To our phenomenal members,

Last night we had a small, yet spirited meeting with Brandy Dreibelbis
and Sunny Young of BVSD Nutrition Services and Chris Marchoini of
Healthy Learning Paths. Hopefully some collaboration and good things
will come out of this.

During our business meeting , a new slate of officers for the
2011/2012 academic year was presented. This slate is a fresh, hard-
working crew made up of:

President Julie Haman
Vice President Tinna Petursson
Secretary Renee Troso
Treasurer Donna Hardy

Elections for these officers will be held at our next general meeting,
March 15, 2011.

Other non-elected board openings remain for the upcoming year.
Specifically, we are looking for three board members to head up the
fundraising, program planning and legislative positions. If you have
any interest, please let us know.

Another weighty item on our business agenda was the introduction of
our newly revised bylaws. The new bylaws will also be put before a
membership vote on March 15, 2011. If you would like to review the new

Thanks to both our nominating committee of Janeen Capelletti, Maia
Jorgenson and Carolyn Felknor and our bylaws committee of CeeCee
Stussi, Julie Haman and myself. They did a great job with serious
time constraints.
