To our stunning members:

Believe it or not our school has been open 10 years! To celebrate,
the student council, student body, teachers and the PTA have planned
an afternoon of celebration on Friday, May 21. After school , the PTA
plans on distributing ice cream to all in attendance. Since we are
inviting past alumni, parents and friends, we are hoping for a big
crowd. Expenses for this piece of the celebration are projected on
the high side at $850 for the ice cream and recognition goodies for
the staff who have been here the entire 10 years.

Earlier that week the PTA will be helping all the current students to
literally leave their handprint on a school wall. Volunteers are
needed for this hopefully not too messy undertaking. We are
estimating $150 for paint and cleanup supplies.

With these 2 estimated expenditures totaling $1,000, the budget needs
to be amended for a 10-year celebration line item. Thus, a special
meeting will be held next week on Tuesday, May 4, to vote on this
budget change.

In addition to this vote, Brett Livingston, our principal will briefly
update us on Colorado, BVSD and Aspen Creek budget concerns.

Because of the expected brevity of this meeting, no dinner or
childcare will be provided. We’ll be starting promptly at 6:30 in the
library.
