[Aspen Creek K-8 PTA] Impact on Education - "Razzle Dazzle"

Greetings fellow PTA members! We are writing today to let you know
about a very important district-wide fundraiser coming up at the end
of May. Impact on Education is holding it's annual "Razzle Dazzle"
event at Boulder Reservoir. Impact on Education is a charitable
foundation whose purpose is to fund grants throughout BVSD. Some of
their programs include "Crayons to Calculators" which donates school
supplies to needy students, as well as classroom mini-grants which any
teacher can apply for to use for classroom projects. Their annual
Impact Awards recognize outstanding Boulder Valley teachers,
administrators and staff who make an extraordinary impact on student
learning. Aspen Creek has been the recipient of many Impact on
Education grants over the years, as well as having various teachers
nominated for Impact Awards.

The foundation has asked each BVSD school to put together a basket
that will be auctioned off at the silent auction portion of their
event. Our theme is "Into the woods" (Camping items). The basket
should have a retail value between $125-$150. Please feel free to
contribute anything you think would go with our theme. In addition, to
make things a little easier for you, we have "registered" at Target
for items that would be appropriate for our basket (nothing too
large!). If you have something to donate, or would like to pick up
something from Target, items can be left in the main office at school.
We are asking that items be collected by May 1st so we may put the
basket together and deliver it to Impact.

With impending budget cuts, foundations like this one will be critical
in supplementing our classroom programs. We need to show our continued
support in order for grant funds to continue to be available to our
teachers and staff.
