Job Description
On the automation test engineer we just need familiarity with the storage components so the tester can write and validate functionality with automated tests. It’s definitely a plus if the automated tester has experience with HP’s 3PAR, IBRIX, LeftHand, MSA, and EVAs and their associated storage type but it’s not mandatory. The familiarity with Automation suites / frameworks: HP Service Test, QTP/Selenium and/or PowerShell scripting, Spock / Groovy along with experience with RESTful Web services take a higher precedence.
- Automation Testing
- Contribute to Agile software development verification and management of the quality assurance ecosystem and integrations
- Provide system level validation and failure analysis of highly complex storage management solutions
- Architect comprehensive automation in support of enterprise storage systems integration and solution test verification
- Validate system configurations in compliance with defined test plans
- Design, author, and execute automated and manual test cases
- Report development and testing status, issues, and program risks to management and HPtechnical teams
- Identify and share software development, quality assurance, and automation process improvements
Following qualifications and skills to perform the Services:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience of enterprise systems engineering.
- Experience with automated api testing using JavaScript, Java, VisualBasic, and/or Python
- Experience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols, HTML, XML, and JSON
- Experience with RESTful Web services is a plus
- Experience in Agile/Scrum quality assurance and development methodologies
- Experience in Linux and Windows based environments and systems administration
- Familiarity with Automation suites / frameworks: HP Service Test, QTP and/or PowerShell scripting, Spock / Groovy
- Experience with HP Quality Center (ALM): Test management and defect tracking
- Experience with Rally Dev tools
- Flexible/able to deal with changing requirements and environments
