Job Title: Sr. QA Automation Engineer (6 position)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA or Fort Collins, CO
Duration: Long term
Must be USC or GC
Responsibilities
· Active participation on Scrum Teams as a software quality assurance engineer and be responsible including testing strategy, analysis, coding, results evaluation, and proposed corrective actions
· Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
· Proactively provides overall software quality perspective to pan-organization sprint teams
· Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced contract staff members from your company.
Knowledge and Skills
· Experience testing enterprise level solutions
· Experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes.
· The ability to use QTP, Soap UI, Selenium, etc. to be able to generate and run test automation is MUST.
· Experience managing and tracking defects in HP ALM or a similar tool
· Proven record to automate test
· Knowledge of how to do security testing is desired
· Proven ability of evaluating and propose software tests, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
· Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
· Able to understand overall architecture and software design for products and solutions in order to efficiently and effectively design, run, and rout cause the issue
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Ability to effectively communicate test approaches, test designs, test results to fellow QA engineers and development managers.
· A working knowledge of Windows Server platforms, Oracle dB, MSSQL, RHEL / Linux, VMware vCenter
· Experience with virtualization, QA hardware lab management, application deployment, and cloud system providers such as OpenStack, Amazon EC2 is a plus.
· Knowledge with installation and system integration testing preferred.
· Ability to learn fast with minimal guidance.
