How to implement a pool of ready backend sessions?

I am looking into implementing a chat system using AspComet,
but I need some help implementing a pool of ready backend sessions.

The backend sessions takes 10-20 seconds to logon to,
so I was thinking of having a pool of already logged on sessions,
so that I have them ready without any delay when a browserclient actually connects.
(All sessions will be logged on using the same system user.)

How can this be implemented together with AspComet,
preferably without changing the AspComet code?
