IIS 7 - AJAXED - WIN2008 - PLESK

Hi i ve test ajaxed in Windows XP and IIS 5.1 - working excellent...
but
in IIS 7 with win2008 and Plesk installed having problems

navigating/browsing to webpages... after 10 browses of ajaxed pages...
domain freezes unexpected.... for 5-10 min - my other domains working
good...

what;s going wrong - what to do ? - any idea

Hi Magma,

Did you check the IIS logs? 

I haven't heard of issues with IIS7 yet .. I am using IIS7 and it works fine .. Let's do some debugging ... Maybe there is some configuration problem.

as you can see up... from 11:58 - next page loads afer reclicking it
at 12:00 !!!!! without giving me an error...

Hmm, Script timeout reminds me of programming issues ... Do you know which file causes the timeout?

is it maybe kittasorders/newcustomer.asp

I do not know anything about Plesk. Is it directly embedded into your website (e.g. as a common folder in your webroot) or is it a virtual directory?

Does the problem also occurs if you restart your iis and browse to your site without browsing to plesk?

if i have plesk installed - then using virtual directories and hosting

ofcourse i can't install to the webroot :-(
so if that's the problem what to do ?
can i set up the folders in your code and how - give me an example ?

if i restart iis working after 30seconds... but this not solution
because after 4-5 browses freezes again! :-(

ps: i said that the code works perfectly under winxp and simple iis -
but at my server having problems - so is not code problem (of mine way)

Older plesk versions actually modified the ASP pipeline and introduced
really weird behaviors... but that version just configures IIS with
the supported and standard means... so I don't think plesk has
anything to see with your problem.

The only test you made in order to blame plesk was checking that in
your own XP IIS-5.1 machine it works correctly?

I don't think it's enough... plesk virtual directories and websites
are just NORMAL virtual directories and websites (at least in "new"
plesks... very old ones didn't work this way). Plesk only participates
when setting up websites, but not in the serving of the requests.

I just said that plesk doesn't get in the middle of the pipeline of a
classic-ASP request, at least not in v9,I'm afraid I can't help
further as I don't have additional information.

have in mind that already disable your database routines,
and also have in mind that not freezes at start but after 2-3-4
browses (not standard)...

i ve tried it also without response.flush, and buffer=true but the same

I am afraid tracing have too much job.... :-( as i am reading it in

and the problem is that i am not sure if that helps... as you saying
that already tested ajaxed in IIS 7 and works well...

also have a risk to loose my other domains if accident be...

do you have any idea of running asp code natively in IIS 7 (Without
plesk) - don't have problem to use ip without domain linked !

It is a bit of setup, but this might help you to find the issue. Maybe the issue is in ajaxed, maybe in plesk, maybe in the code itself, maybe the combination .. we dont know.

on my server ajaxed project with iis7 run fine .. I havent heard of any issues. Still this should be treated with caution as there might be some issue which we do not know yet.

asp code natively? not really sure what you mean by that.

i mean without plesk managing my iis at all (the pool)...

i want to install my app-site to the root of iis and use only the
(.net pool) is it possible ? and how >?

You can create a new application pool, create a new website and assign the pool to your website.

I am sorry, I am afraid I do not have the resources to do all that. I have no clue how Plesk is configured but basically it should be enough creating a new pool, creating a new website and assigning the pool to the newly created website.

For everything else I would suggest Tracing.

As far as I can remember, you can tell plesk to create different app
pools for each domain, or you can tell it to put all domains under the
same app pool... but that was with plesk 8 at least... maybe that
option isn't available anymore?

Anyway changing it manually from the IIS Manager is trivial.

Well, i have news..
bad i think :-(..
ive tried to abyss server (with selisoft activehtml for asp classic
support) at win2008 and having freezes too...
so .. what's wrong ?
