Has anyone been successful in making a site work that way? I've never
done url rewriting with IIS before so not sure exactly how to go about
it.

Even if you can point me in the right direction, it would be a huge
help. I am dealing with shared hosting at the moment, so hopefully
there is a solution that does not involve installing a dll.

Thanks,
Gary

There is an "easy" way to do this. I've actually managed to apply it
to my personal blog. It requires access to create "custom errors" in
IIS.

The link to this tutorial can be found here:
http://evolt.org/search_engine_friendly_urls_with_iis_and_classic_asp

And you can see it "in action" in my blog: www.elflip.info (blog in
spanish).

I hope you find it useful.

Regards.
