Sign in to the My Apps portal with your work or school account on your computer. Your organization might direct you to a customized page such as . The My Apps page appears, showing all the cloud-based apps owned by your organization that are available for you to use.
Download and install the My Apps Secure Sign-in Extension, if you're prompted. This extension helps you use your desktop browser to use single sign-on with your organization's cloud apps. Just hover over an app in the My Apps portal, select the More actions menu [...] and then select Manage your application.
Whenever a device connects to the hotspot it sends a request to some predefined websites to check if the wifi connection has internet access. If it gets a 302 response it generates the captive portal window.
And that's it! Whenever a device connects to the hotspot, it will attempt to connect to any one of the preset websites used to determine internet connectivity. These requests will be resolved locally by dnschef to our Nginx server. The Nginx server then gives a 302 redirect which triggers captive portal on the client.
I tried a similar approach using dnscrypt-proxy which provides dedicated captive-portal support. Since, this is nothing more than dns cloaking there are several ways to achieve, that requests to certain "connection-checking" domains are directed to a local webserver.
Unlike in the accepted answer, I figured out an even easier and more flexible way by using the windows hosts file without any third-party dns proxy. Instead of associating the connection-checking domains with localhost, I mapped them with the physical wifi accespoint ip address (which is 192.168.137.1). This causes wifi clients to directly send their connection-checking requests to the webserver, that is running on the local pc and listens to all connections on port 80.

I have windows 8.1 and its tied to my Microsoft login. I only vaguely remember setting this option up during the installation of windows. When I try to use these credentials to connect to my network share I cannot login.

"Recently I have migrated my windows 10 to a new m2 ssd drive (Samsung NVMe SSD 980). Old one was a normal SSD. After migration, I noticed a long black screen duration (10 to 30 seconds) time before windows login at nearly each boot. After many tries (changing used sata slots, updating drivers, removing other storage drives from the system, migrating to old ssd by using a recovey image) I have found that If my new SSD is connected, there is no way to get rid of this black screen delay except uninstalling Eset Internet Security. When I unistalled Eset Internet Security, boot time returned to normal.
I want to use both my new ssd and Eset Internet Security. So please fix this problem."
Apart from these details There is also a lagging problem of ESET services in my PC. When I login to windows, ESET logo shows up little late (10-15 seconds) and starting of eset services like firewall takes additional 30-60 seconds. I took a screen shot during this period. And also during this period I can't start any application in my computer including start menu. They freeze, and multiple clicking results in a delayed open these apps with multiple instances. So I think I have bigger problem than black screen.

To enable this, go to Network > Portal > edit your portal > Client Confguration > edit your client config. Set Authentication Modifier to "cookie authentication for config refresh". Set the Cookie Lifetime as desired (0, the default, means the cookie does not expire. If you prefer the cookie to expire, I suggest adjusting the setting to about a week's time).

I just had the same problem with proceed to docker desktop not connecting back to docker-desktop on windows. I tried chrome, firefox, then edge and edge worked. It transferred the login to docker-desktop and success.

I'm performing some searches to monitor Windows user failure attempts. The failure itself is not a problem, I know the proper windows event code to monitor failures attempts; the focal point is that in every of this try I have to add a particular condition to check.
Between these searches, two makes me some difficults: I have to monitor login failures performed by an expired account, while in another one I have to track attempts by disabled account.
In my scenario, where I have the Windows addon installed on my environment, how can I track the 2 above scenarios?
The problem could be that you have USB3 ports that don't have a driver when initially booting until the user has logged on. I have a situation where a user has had their windows login name renamed in AD. I believe their SID stayed the same just the name changed. This causes some problem in SQL. When I try looking for the new user in SSMS (Domain\New_user) its not there.
So my question is does anyone know how I can update SQL with the new_User(this is a windows user not SQL user)? Or do I have to script out all the security for the old user name drop the login and then readd it with the new user name and apply all the security?
