how to access the MUCT database from visual studio

Hi, I am tryin to implement active shape model just with 50 training sets for my project. I am not using the library but implemmenting the ASM itself. I am using visual studio and opencv. If i am using MUCT database, how can i add it to my C++ code in visual studio to train it ?... The examples are all given in MinGW to run the ./prepare.sh and all... but can i do these for VC++ ?
