Subject: [Flyer] MR symposium on Translational Robotics (IDETC 2026)

Hello, Chin-Hsing,

Damien, Po Ting, and I are organizing this year's MR symposium on Translational Robotics again to help promote the new ASME Letters in Translational Robotics.

Could you please share the info below and the flyer with the MR community?

Best,

Kuan-Lun

We invite you to submit to this symposium within the 50th Mechanisms and Robotics Conference (MR). Papers are solicited in the application and translation of science, engineering, and design principles in robotics into new or improved technological products. It will support use-inspired, translational research that will drive future robotic technologies and engineering solutions with societal impact. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Use inspired design function, form, architecture, and operation
  • Innovations, risks, and practical implementation
  • Integration challenges and solutions for multidisciplinary projects
  • Case studies of manufacturer or end user applications
  • Application driven robot architectures: agents, tasks, and environments, with challenges and solutions
  • Innovative designs for components, subsystems, and systems
  • Validation of innovation and real world impact
  • Design, analysis, and algorithms for reliable robots
  • System integration and cyber physical system innovations
  • Safe implementation practices in robot design
  • Reduction of robot patents to practice

Important Dates
  • March 16, 2026: Full-length paper submission
  • April 20, 2026: Presentation-only & poster abstract submission
  • May 19, 2026: Final paper submission
